Parks Winter Trail Conditions

Discover the Beauty of Winter Trails at Dodge County Parks
Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventures, family fun, or a peaceful retreat in nature, our parks have something to offer everyone. While they are beautiful in the summer, each park is just as breathtaking in winter, with stunning scenery.
You might spot frost-covered trees at Nitschke or catch a glimpse of deer hidden among the woods at Ledge Park. Come explore the freshly groomed trails at Astico, Ledge, Harnischfeger and Nitschke Mounds Parks.
Be sure to bring your winter boots, skis, or snowshoes to experience the variety of paths each park offers. Every trail holds a unique discovery so don’t let the cold keep you away!
Groomed Winter Trails:
Our 13 miles of groomed winter trails are open to all park users, including hikers, snowshoers, and skiers. Please ensure all pets remain on a leash while in the park. Trail grooming is completed as weather conditions allow, and ski tracks are set when appropriate. If ski tracks are present, we kindly ask that all foot and pet traffic remain to the sides to help maintain trail quality.
Vault toilets along the trail system remain open throughout the winter season for visitor convenience. We also welcome your feedback so please feel free to share what you enjoy, what could be improved, or any concerns you may have. If you encounter hazards or issues while using the trails, contact the central office so we can address them promptly at 920-386-3700 ext. 1
Trail Update:
All trails have recently been groomed, and we will continue to monitor conditions and groom them as weather permits.
