Prior to Dodge County, Scott worked almost 23 years with the Sheboygan Police Department.  He spent 7 ½ years as a patrolman.  During that time Scott was a member of the SWAT Team, Dive/Rescue Team and a field training officer.  He was promoted to sergeant and eventually to lieutenant.  He had the opportunity to supervise the Street Crimes Unit, the K-9 Unit and the Criminal Investigation Division.
