Since 1932 Dodge County, through its Public Health Unit, has been involved in the assurance and provision of public health services to the residents of the county. Over the years the size of the staff and method of service delivery have changed but the primary focus of improving the health status of the residents of the county through health/wellness promotion and prevention of disease remain the same. This focus is maintained through the 14 programs offered by the Public Health Unit to both targeted risk groups and the general population of Dodge County. While these programs are offered in a variety of settings including onsite clinics, homes, schools, daycares and worksites, they all strive to achieve collaboration with other local agencies as well as public health professionals on a state and national level.
