Classroom 2 Careers Fund
BUILDING TOMORROW'S TALENT TODAY BY CONNECTION STUDENTS TO CAREERS
The Dodge County Classroom to Careers (C2C) Fund provides financial support to help schools expand access to career-based learning opportunities. By reimbursing eligible costs such as transportation, program fees, substitute teachers, and classroom materials, the fund reduces barriers that often prevent students from participating in hands-on experiences. Through this support, the C2C Fund strengthens connections between classrooms and local career pathways, ensuring students gain valuable real-world learning while building a stronger workforce pipeline for Dodge County.
Eligibility & Who Can Apply
Public and private high schools located in Dodge County, or serving students who reside in Dodge County, are eligible to apply. Each school may submit one application per funding cycle.
Schools may request reimbursement for eligible career-based learning expenses, including but not limited to:
- Transportation and busing
- Program participation fees
- Classroom or program materials
- Other direct expenses tied to eligible programs
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
- Population growth: ~0.7% over the last decade with a slight incline projected; 6.3% increase expected between 2020 and 2050
- Retirements on the rise: By 2050, adults 65+ will make up 30.33% of the population (up from 20.2% today)
- Youth population decline: 0–19 age group projected to decrease by 7.29% by 2050
- Working Age Population: By 2050 an estimated 61% of the total population will be between 15-64 years old
To remain economically competitive, Dodge County and its communities must invest in strategies that retain and engage local youth - starting with stronger, earlier connections between students and regional career opportunities.
