Exposure to radon gas is one of the major contributors to lung cancer nationally, yet many people aren’t aware that an easy-to-use test kit can tell them if their home has high radon levels. Radon causes more lung cancer among non-smokers than second-hand tobacco smoke.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) will launch its new Real Estate Transfer Return system on January 12, 2026. To prepare for this upgrade, the current system will be taken offline on Thursday, January 8, 2026, to migrate the most recent 90 days of returns.

The Generac Foundation has provided a $2,300 grant to the Dodge County Hazardous Materials Team to enable the purchase of specialized equipment and supplies to respond to and appropriately mitigate hazmat situations.
